New York-based director, Joy Kilpatrick, shoots from the heart, and presents familiar things in unfamiliar ways, thus inviting us to see them with fresh eyes.  Her visual style is authentic, deeply human, and singular in its ability to discern beauty and story within tiny, macro moments. Kilpatrick is continually refining this evocative cinematic style and adapting it to various projects, whether it’s creating work for clients like McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Kraft, Starbucks and Nestle, as well as in the film space where she served on the second-unit ‘Chop’ team for John Wells’ 2015 drama Burnt, starring Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller.

Traces of her experience as a documentary filmmaker are evident in the way Kilpatrick organically incorporates the relationship between humans and food into her work. Joy effortlessly translates the language of food to create deeply authentic and human stories that make unforgettable onscreen moments. Because she brings passion and excitement to every shoot, Joy is known as a true collaborator who can be relied on to enhance any concept.
